Once in four years, we gain an extra day.  Why does it have to be a Monday?  Who decided this?  At the start of the year, I buy a calendar, and it’s there.  No discussion, no debate, no choice.  And why is our one extra day in February?  Why not put it in the middle of summer?   But some people might want an extra day at other times.  Why not let each of us decide when we want to take our individual Leap Days?  It’s time to end this calendaring tyranny.  It’s time for the people to take ownership of Leap Day!
